The Business Excellence Service are looking for an employee who share our council vision for local neighbourhood working and be at the heart of delivering an effective and responsive Town Grants programme.

To provide a high quality administrative support to the work of the Neighbourhood Engagement Team. Key elements of the post will be to support the implementation of the small grants process, engaging with community groups to promote SMBC funding, supporting the administration of town based meetings, ensuring effective partnership working across the towns and being involved in supporting local events, consultations, promotion of community led activities and arranging press releases and update of the Town Grants website.

You will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience of dealing face to face with the public
  • Demonstrate experience of working with voluntary sector organisations within a multi-cultural setting
  • Recent experience in partnership working and working in local communities

The post holder must possess:

  • Numeracy and literacy level 2 qualification or equivalent as a minimum.
