The Cumbria Social Work Academy team is looking for a new ASYE Lead to join us.
This is a full-time permanent position placed within the Customer, Corporate and Communities Directorate
The role is County wide and includes working across Childrens and Adults Services.
Your workplace can be determined according to your home location.
Consideration will be given to flexible working arrangements.
We are looking for an experienced Social Work practioner with a background in either Childrens or Adults services to lead and continue to support our ASYE programmes. The successful candidate will lead on the development of professional learning and developmental programmes for Social Workers/OTs and additionally support practitioners in the Social Work Academy Approach.
You will be involved in linking in with National Developments regarding the ASYE programmes and support with any implementations and developments from these within Cumbria.
You will work alongside two ASYE/PE co-ordinators who support in the implementation of the ASYE programmes.
You will be involved in ensuring that accurate information is held in relation to NQSW’s progress on the programmes, developing and reviewing action plans as required and appropriate. This will involve maintaining working relations across a number of differing social work teams and areas of work practice.
You will assist in supporting the recruitment and retention of Newly Qualified practioners within Cumbria and will establish close working relationships with other agencies, including local Universities.
We are looking for someone who can support and embed the quality assurance aspects of our programmes relating to ASYE and Practice Education both internally and externally.
You will assist with the development of new models of delivery in order to ensure that the Council’s professional learning and development programme area fulfils the requirements of national best practice.
We will provide all the necessary support and guidance required to ensure that you are able to meet the requirements of the role.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Childrens and Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults and/or Children.
