The Role:

Clinical Practitioner (RBKC Locality Services)

An opportunity has opened for a Clinical Practitioner within RBKC Family & Children’s Services (FCS).

This is an opportunity for someone to join the RBKC Clinical Team in a role which is based within a frontline locality social work team.

This role will support the continued embedding and development of the RBKC systemic practice model as part of improving outcomes for our vulnerable children and families.

About You:

We are looking for a qualified Systemic Family Therapist or a Year 4 systemic clinical trainee.  

You should have a significant background/experience in children’s social care and ideally you would hold a graduate professional qualification which is relevant, e.g., social work, psychology, mental health nursing. 

You will feel comfortable working alongside frontline social workers to support effective change with vulnerable children and families.

Please note that the demands of this role will require attendance at various office locations and to undertake home visits to see families/clients. This role cannot be undertaken completely working from home.

The clinician offers regular systemic consultation, assessments, interventions and contribute to decision making processes in order to manage risk and support change in the family and wider professional system.

The work will demand a creative and flexible approach, working with families and young people in their homes and other community settings as well as being comfortable using online interventions where appropriate and required.

In addition to providing direct therapeutic interventions, the post holder will offer teaching/consultation to social work colleagues as part of the ongoing embedding of the systemic practice model.
