We have an exciting opportunity for professional, organised, and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Local Resilience Forum (LRF) Development Officer. These posts are offered on a fixed term basis and are ideal for candidates interested in emergency preparedness who are looking to develop their career, working alongside an experienced and dedicated team, developing specific key priority areas.
As LRF Development Officers, you will support the LRF Manager to deliver key aspects of the Cumbria Local Resilience Forum Work Programme. You will focus on the planning and delivery of community development and engagement, and the implementation of new initiatives and change programmes. This will include developing and implementing plans, systems, and processes. There will also be a requirement to manage small projects and represent the Cumbria Local Resilience Forum.
The role will involve working closely with the Local Resilience Forum Partners and Community for Cumbria, requiring regular travel throughout the county. You will also be required to support the multi-agency response to emergencies. You will provide advice and ensure procedures are in place. You will act as LRF partnership liaison
The post will also be required to undertake security clearance.
The ideal candidates will have proven track records of developing and delivering consultation and engagement campaigns and/events. You will also have thorough understanding of the service area and excellent organisational skills. We are looking for people with strong interpersonal skills, who can negotiate and influence at all levels. Knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004(CCA) is essential, and you will be ICT competent.
We are able to accommodate both in person and virtual interviews. If virtual, your interview will preferably be undertaken using the Microsoft Teams software, which is currently free for new users, however if there are any issues with accessing this technology, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the interviews.
