We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a Local Resilience Forum (LRF) Coordinator. This post is offered on a fixed term basis and is perfect for someone who is interested in emergency preparedness and is looking to develop their career, working alongside an experienced and dedicated team.

As the LRF Coordinator, you will support the LRF Manager to deliver efficient and effective co-ordination of Local Resilience Forum activity and compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act and Resilience Standards. You will focus on supporting the Sub Groups, the Executive and Programme Board Meetings, and representing the Cumbria Local Resilience Forum. The role will require excellent administration skills and attention to detail, as working with key documentation including Emergency Plans.

The role will involve working closely with the Local Resilience Forum Partnership and in particular the Executive and Programme Board Chair. You will be required to support the multi-agency response to emergencies.  You will also provide advice and ensure procedures are in place   You will acti as LRF partnership liaison, ensuring working knowledge of all LRF plans though training and exercising.

The post will also be required to undertake security clearance and the ability to travel within and outside of Cumbria is needed.

The ideal candidate will have proven organisation and communication skills and will have experience in delivering excellent customer service and developing efficient processes and procedures to support delivery of service. Knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004(CCA) is essential, and you will be ICT competent.

We are able to accommodate both in person and virtual interviews. If virtual, your interview will preferably be undertaken using the Microsoft Teams software, which is currently free for new users, however if there are any issues with accessing this technology, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the interviews.
