Are you interested in making a difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families? If so, we would love to hear from you!

Cumbria County Council are recruiting for a Family Resilience Worker. This is a relatively new post in the County Council and a real opportunity to improve outcomes for vulnerable children. You will provide practical support and intervention to families by working as part of a multi-agency team.

As a Family Resilience Worker, you will be supporting families within their homes to enable children and young people to be safe and happy at home. You will ensure the voice of children and young people is heard and informs the decisions that are made about them.

The right candidate will have their NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant professional area e.g., Social Care, Education, NNEB, Childcare, and will demonstrate ongoing professional development. We are looking for someone with a knowledge and understanding of managing challenging behaviour, along with the ability to deal with difficult and extremely sensitive cases.

This is a real opportunity to work with families to bring about positive change, and we are looking for people who are enthusiastic and passionate about our service.

This is largely an out of hours role to allow the relevant support to be provided.
