Cumbria County Council are recruiting for a Family Resilience Worker. This is a relatively new post in the County Council and a real opportunity to improve outcomes for vulnerable children. You will provide practical support and intervention to families by working as part of a multi-agency team.
As a Family Resilience Worker, you will be supporting families within their homes to enable children and young people to be safe and happy at home. You will ensure the voice of children and young people is heard and informs the decisions that are made about them.
The right candidate will have their NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant professional area e.g., Social Care, Education, NNEB, Childcare, and will demonstrate ongoing professional development. We are looking for someone with a knowledge and understanding of managing challenging behaviour, along with the ability to deal with difficult and extremely sensitive cases.

This is largely an out of hours role to allow the relevant support to be provided.
There is a requirement to work at weekends and in the evenings to provide practical support and intervention to children young people and their families to keep families together.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s and Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children and Adults.
