This is a new role to support the work of our Education Effectiveness Partners and the Governor Support and Development teams.

We’re looking for a talented, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our two teams, working with maintained schools and academies to ensure our ambition to make Leicestershire the best place for all children, young people and their families is a reality.

This could offer wider experience as a secondment or be taken as a permanent post. We would consider a job-share arrangement.  We offer flexible working hours and a blend of home and office working.

You may have Qualified Teacher Status and experience of working in school or other relevant experience, which will enable you to build credibility with our partners.   You will have excellent organisation skills, be motivated and personable with a talent to learn quickly in a fast-paced, busy environment. Crucially you will have the interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to develop good quality relationships with our teams and stakeholders. You will support the Education team in their role as the point of contact for schools and academies, establishing a strong channel of communication and helping school leaders and governing bodies to be confident in facing the on-going challenges of recovery. You will have sound knowledge of school governance and may have experience as a governor or Clerk.

In addition, you will take responsibility for supporting the Education Effectiveness and Governance team managers in the preparation and management of the team priorities. This work will be varied and interesting, with the opportunity to use initiative and make a real difference to the children and young people of Leicestershire through your work.

Our team continues to evolve (as does the educational landscape): your enthusiasm for the sector, contribution and initiative is very welcome. The posts offer fresh challenges, wide professional development and job satisfaction for the right candidates.

If you would like further information or to discuss the post, please contact Rebecca Wakeley, rebecca.wakeley@leics.gov.uk  0116 305 1250 or 0116 305 3365.
