An opportunity has arisen for a Peripatetic Premises Officer working across our Short breaks services and the LCC.

You would be responsible for (amongst other duties) the unlocking and locking of LCC buildings in the Leicestershire area. Alongside undertaking minor repairs, Health and Safety checks, liaising with contractors and the general upkeep of the building. This roles involves providing cover for LCC sites therefore a very flexible approach is required. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• To undertake a programme of general maintenance work as agreed with the Care Service Manager to ensure that services are maintained to a state of good repair.
• To ensure equipment is maintained to a good state of repair according to LCC procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements to maintain safe working. These include the Heath and Safety at work act, Fire safety order, LOLER etc. 
• To perform routine checks and carry out minor repairs as required to include, heating plumbing, lighting and other areas to support the comfort and safe usage of service users.
• To provide safe responsive porterage to the service to include lifting and carrying heavy items.
• To liaise with external contractors and professionals to report and oversee repairs.
• To undertake minor repairs to fixtures and furniture
• To use IT systems to develop and standardise systems/ process to ensure timely safety checks are carried out.
• To undertake Portable appliance testing (PAT)
• To oversee and undertake Infection Prevention Control procedures to ensure that the work is completed to a high standard.
• To work flexibly to meet service requirements, able to work a service rota between 7Am and 10Pm Monday-  Sunday to include weekends and Bank Holidays when required to meet service need.

Enhancement:

Mileage is able to be claimed from a base at a current rate of 45p per mile.
