The post will primarily be providing data and data management support to the Children and Families Department and National Supporting Families Payment by Result (PbR) Programme.  We are looking for applicants who can review, sort and cleanse all incoming data, match data together at an individual and household level, remove errors and maintain a central families database as well as having the ability to maintain a detailed understanding of guidelines and definitions for reporting complex data sets.

Experience or expertise in the areas below could be an advantage.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, educated to degree level, with experience of working in a business intelligence or a performance management environment, and researching specific issues. Experience of assisting in the development of ICT systems that facilitate the production of business intelligence dashboards, databases and warehouses to manage and analyse data would also be an advantage.

Experienced in presenting data and information using a variety of IT packages, you will have excellent IT skills and proven ability to learn new packages as well as knowledge of specialist software that underpins the team’s work areas – particular knowledge of Tableau (or similar visualisation packages) would be an advantage but also others such as SNAP, SPSS, R, and Excel (or equivalent).
