Discover then deliver what residents need from tomorrow’s supported housing.

In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. We are now embarking on a range of high-profile supported housing improvement projects, which will be shaped and co-designed with residents. This includes improving existing supported housing and identifying options for expanding the provision of supported housing of housing for people with disabilities.

The Role:

This is an exciting role that will be pivotal in improving supported housing and ultimately the quality of life of some of our more vulnerable residents. Developing a joint supported housing strategy across Housing, Social Investment, Adult Social Care, Public Health and the NHS you’ll put residents at the heart of all our plans. Your scope and influence will be broad, starting with a review of the existing portfolio of supported accommodation to identify what options there are to improve and/or remodel services. A key element will be building relationships with residents and stakeholders, engaging them in policy development, decision-making and design. You’ll then prepare business cases and recommendations based on sound analysis and evidence.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

This is a key strategic role that requires strong engagement and consultation skills. Most likely with a background in social care or housing, you’ll have an in-depth understanding of supported housing, a strong customer focus and well-developed project management capabilities. Practised in the management of internal and external stakeholders, you’ll have the ability to persuade and influence others, and to bring about organisational change. At the same time, you’ll demonstrate considerable empathy and have the ability to work sensitively with vulnerable people.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme, the ability to work from home some of the time and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s alone will not be considered for this role.
