Job Details

The pandemic has touched every aspect of the work councils do, and we're on the front line as the country recovers. Businesses need support to get back on their feet and social care services are helping a growing number of vulnerable residents. Many services will not be the same, so good communications and engagement with residents and staff are more important than ever before.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated communications professional to join our team and lead on communications for health and adult services.

You could be a press officer who wants to do more campaigns, or maybe you’re great at social media and want to do more PR. Regardless of your background, we need someone who can create engaging content for a range of publications and websites, and manage the council’s reputation through the press and social media.

We offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation.

From the world-famous sights of Greenwich town centre in the west, to Thamesmead in the east, from the Greenwich Peninsula in the north to Eltham in the south, our communities are diverse. We want our workforce to reflect and respect this diversity and bring richness, productivity and innovation.

We’re based in Woolwich, but the role will comprise a mix of office and some home working. If you’re ready to be part of our exciting journey, please apply now, or contact us to discuss the job.
