Lambeth Council is looking for two senior leaders to shape our work with children and young people in our fantastic borough. With a brand-new elected administration taking office, a new Chief Executive starting in June and development of a new Borough Plan getting underway, there has never been a better time to join a council with children and young people truly and visibly at its core.

Our history is well known. Our present is not. And, helping determine our future, and those of our children and young people, is at the heart of both of these unique roles.

95% of Lambeth schools are rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. Our approach to reducing serious youth violence won an LGC award last year for its innovation. How we support the most vulnerable children and young people, including those with special or complex needs was recently praised by Ofsted and positions us strongly ahead of a full inspection in the months ahead. And, our ambitions to create a UNICEF ‘child friendly borough’ are well advanced, with the voices of our young people proactively shaping what we do to make our aspirations a reality.

At the heart of both leadership roles will be working with Members, our hard-working staff and our diverse communities at this crucial time to set and deliver on our priorities. Meeting our ambitions and commitments for more equal and equitable life chances for all our young people is paramount.

If you believe you can bring passion, dedication and a total commitment to placing children and young people at the heart of our work, we want to hear from you. Now really is the time.

To find out more about these exceptional roles speak with Jonathan Clark on 07736 818185 or Jes Ladva on 07738 579701.
