We are looking to recruit an organised, experienced, and motivated individual to join Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service People and Development team.

The development team are responsible for providing and coordinating all the services training and development and utilises a range of computer systems to support effective planning and competency recording.

Based at Penrith with flexibility of some working from home you will undertake project work and lead the development of existing and implementation of new systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience of developing systems to customer specifications and will work with Cumbria Fire & Rescue to ensure it is working effectively to maximise service performance and ensure effective reporting. 

The post includes line management of a small team, and the post holder will be required to deliver projects and provide progress reports. It is therefore essential that you are able to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and translate technical knowledge and experience into action.

You will need to be an experienced user of a range of systems and applications with the ability to work alone and using your initiative. Proven organisational skills are essential.
