“We have a great group of supportive clinical and admin staff, who all bring something unique to the team."
The Cumbria County Council Occupational Health team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator. Our team provides organisational and individual advice on all aspects of occupational health, and we are passionate about ensuring the wellbeing of our multi-disciplinary workforce.
You will be joining a well-established team, who provide statutory health surveillance, opinions on fitness for work and rehabilitation, and advice on legal compliance in OH matters.
About the Role:
As an Occupational Health Administrator, you will be working within the Occupational Health Team, alongside our clinical nursing team and Occupational Health Physician. We are part of the Corporate, Customer and Community Services Directorate who provide a wide range of health, wellbeing, and advice services to our Cumbria County Council employees.
This is a diverse and interesting administration role for a highly motivated individual. We ensure the smooth running of the Occupational Health Department, and an important function of this role is the planning of clinics and appointments, using a variety of systems to effectively cross-check clinic schedule/locations with the availability/locations of employees.
You will be required to accurately update and maintain the Occupational Health database and records with appointments booked and attended/not attended, and to fill cancellation slots to ensure that our clinics run as efficiently as possible, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
You will be carrying out a multitude of administrative tasks which can range from setting up clinics, scheduling appointments, reminding employees about their upcoming appointments and responding to late cancellations. The role does, at times, require some cross-county travel.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an organised and professional administrator, with exceptional attention to detail. A background in healthcare and experience in the use of clinical systems would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The work is challenging and rewarding, and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge of working within a health environment.
What the Team says:
"The OH team is fantastic and provides a supportive environment to work in and to develop professionally."
"Occupational Health consists of a strong team of people, willing to go the extra mile."
"I'd just like to say I love my job, it's the best team I've ever worked with and wish I'd done it years ago."
