An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cumbria’s Public Health Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated individual to provide a high level of support to deliver key Public Health programmes of work.
The Public Health Project Officer – Children and Families, will play a central role in addressing health and wellbeing issues for children and families across Cumbria. The post holder will take a lead on specific pieces of work as well as supporting others; working closely with the Children and Families Public Health Lead.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivery and project management of public health initiatives, undertaking needs assessments and supporting strategic developments to improve the health outcomes for children, young people and their families.
They will also work with colleagues across the council and with external partners to provide strategic and project/programme management for a variety of key programmes.
They will have strong people skills including facilitation and negotiation, communication skills both written, face-to-face and over Teams!
