We have fantastic opportunities for experienced, highly enthusiastic, resilient and dynamic senior practitioners to join the team.  The Advanced Social Work Practitioner role in Bolton is empowering and insightful. You will be able to develop your management and leadership skills whilst receiving dedicated support and guidance.

As an Advanced Practitioner you will:

Coach, mentor, co-work and buddy less experienced colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them become the leaders of the future, inspiring them to improve and deliver excellent practice.

Have a reduced caseload, using your skills to manage the more complex cases in children’s social care, whilst also providing clinical leadership and expertise to the wider social work team.

Strive to offer families the support and intervention they need to make and sustain positive change so they can safely meet the needs of their children.  Through our restorative practice approach, you will actively encourage imaginative, and family focussed interventions, and when children cannot remain with family that they have timely plans of permanency.

About You

The ASWP role offers a fantastic opportunity for practitioners who are ready to take their social work career onto its next stage or for those who want to take their first step towards a management position.

You will be motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills enabling you to build professional relationships with children and their families to ensure their engagement.

You will have good knowledge and experience in safeguarding children, as well as being able to produce high quality, timely assessments and understand the current changes within children’s social work.

You will act as a champion for service development and improvement within Safeguarding and Early Help, role modelling Research in Practice and undertaking high quality assessments.

You will be able to produce reports to an excellent standard, and deliver accurate and concise information verbally, in written form and where necessary in court.
