Salary
£28,953 to £35,085

Would you like to help us maintain the safety of our residents in Council owned buildings?

Would you like to be part of a new team of professional building inspectors?

If you answered yes, then we’d love to hear from you!

We are looking for four individuals to join existing staff, in a new venture involving the inspection of our building stock, to ensure that safety standards are adhered to and maintained.

You will be responsible for a range of health and safety inspections, tasks and monitoring covering the council managed residential blocks and estates, including fire safety, water quality and asbestos checks.

You will be expected to identify any areas that are below standard and arrange for repair.

The necessary training will be provided, however it would help if you had a basic knowledge of fire safety issues.

There is currently no facility for home working with this role and most days you will be expected to be out in the borough inspecting. It is expected that the Mon - Fri 8hr day will start around 8am, however there may be some flexibility around this as the job evolves.

Driver’s licence is preferable but is not essential.

If you have any questions you would like to ask please contact Andy.booth@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk Or K.Jones@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk
