Are you passionate about Early Help and Prevention work?  
 
Northumberland is on a continuous journey in relation to its Early Help service.  We have recently reviewed our Prevention and Intervention Pathway, which includes the development of our Healthy Parental Relationships offer; and are working towards a strong Family Hub model across our large geographically diverse county, covering the 0-19 age range. 

This is an exciting time in the journey of Early Help and Prevention services with new initiatives planned to ensure integrated working with a range of partners, including social workers, public and clinical health practitioners, Registrars, parents and carers.    
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of posts to join our team and drive the development of Early Help in Northumberland:

Practice and Project Development Officer - This post will have a primary function of supporting the development of Healthy Parental Relationships in Northumberland, by working with practitioners, managers and senior leaders to embed the pathway, whilst also supporting key projects and development work, including Family Hub implementation and the delivery of the Supporting Families Programme.    

The salary for this role is £33486 - 37568

About You 

  • You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, with excellent organisational skills,  and a drive to develop the role, bringing with you knowledge and experience of working with children and families, strong relationship building capabilities in a multi-agency setting, and experience of project and programme planning, delivery and evaluation.  You will be able to contribute to the development of the Early Help service and understand your contribution to maintaining high performance standards
  • You will be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of children and families
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to convey complex messages in a straightforward way and positively challenge to improve practice and delivery  
  • The postholder will be educated to degree level and hold a professional qualification relevant to work with children and families from across the early help multi agency sector e.g., community development, health, education and social work.    

This is a permanent role, with agile working including home working and a base at County Hall, Morpeth as well as other sites across Northumberland occasionally.
