Job Summary
- To assist the Markets Manager in the day to day activities of the Markets Service
- The allocation of stalls, cash collection and accounting
- Liaison with market traders, customers and the public
- The daily management and enforcement of market regulations throughout the Borough
- Working in an office and outdoors on street markets
Essential requirements:
- Must have good customer service skills
- Must have good cash handling and basic accounting skills
- Must be willing to spend a major part of the working day outdoors and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Must be willing and able to provide car/van to transport oneself and others to sites throughout the borough. Must be able to provide class 1 business use for approved vehicle
- Must be dependable, able to work under pressure and on own initiative, and must be assertive and able to enforce regulations fairly and consistently
Must hold a full driving licence
Based in West Bromwich but working throughout the borough.
