About Us:

Scope to explore your commitment to caring.
In Kensington and Chelsea, we support people’s independence and wellbeing, and work hard to enable them to live in the community with dignity, choice and control. By sharing facilities and expertise with Westminster City Council, we’re able to offer joined-up health and social care services that are constantly evolving and improving. This means our Occupational Therapy (OT) services are well resourced, with a manageable caseload. We don’t just talk about person-centred care, we deliver it. Our OTs have everything they need to provide a service they’re proud of.

The Role:

Develop your professional expertise by joining an OT team with the time, resources and commitment to care. While looking after a diverse population, you’ll be able to focus on individualised care and early intervention. You’ll work as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team alongside social workers, rehabilitation workers and other support staff. Together we’ll deliver adult social care services that are some of the best in the country.

Working with adults with physical disabilities, you’ll combine strength-based assessment and planning with a creative approach to meeting service users’ needs. You’ll offer advice on ways of reducing risk and overcoming the problems of daily living using a mixture of new techniques and technological solutions. You’ll also help in the supervision of OT Assistants and students and you will ensure you stay up-to-date on developments in the profession. Your insights and ideas are important to us and you’ll be encouraged to share them.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist, you’ll have experience of working with older and disabled people and will be aware of the issues they face with inner-city living. You’ll be practised in undertaking holistic, person-centred assessments of users’ and carers’ needs. Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and other relevant guidance is essential. You’ll have a collaborative approach to work and a commitment to helping others achieve their full potential.
