The Greenwich Centralised Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Team is a pioneering and Nationally acclaimed AMHP service which was inaugurated in 2011.

The AMHP team is situated at Memorial Hospital, Shooters Hill, Woolwich SE18 3RG.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator with discretion and excellent analytic skills to assist the Greenwich AMHP service in our journey to becoming a centre of excellence for AMHP practice. 

The role requires excellent administrative skills, compassionate and professional telephone manner as the team liaises with carers of people experiencing a mental health crisis as well as professionals from multiple disciplines. You will also possess effective time management skills, the ability to work under pressure and possess excellent organizational skills

Your tasks will also include the following:

  • Inputting daily stats and updating our 24-hour service database.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the team manager, AMHPs and social workers
  • Ability to prioritise and organise your work. 
  • Able to organise meetings. 
  • You should be flexible in your approach and be able to proactively communicate with Health Care Colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Receiving, logging and distributing mail
  • Ordering equipment and stationery
  • General administration duties

You will need to have:

  • Previous administrative role
  • Good skills levels in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good team working ethics and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of patient electronic records system
  • Sixty words per minute typing speed
  • Computer skills and proficiency in computer programmes
  • Qualification in office administration
