Working as part of a team to support the Youth Offending Team the role covers varied duties.

Your main duties will include taking notes at the weekly Out of Court Disposal (OOCD) meetings and updating databases.  It will also involve planning panel dates for Referrals, booking meetings and sending out notification letters to young people and volunteers on the panel.

Formatting Court Reports for Social Workers and contacting the relevant Court for hearing dates, sending updates/reminders to workers for duty cover.  You will be updating a number of spreadsheets to track tasks to ensure any statutory deadlines are met and remind workers of any due dates approaching.

You will undertake general admin duties that include:

·         providing an effective and efficient administrative service

·         delivering an efficient front line service for customers

·         supporting and maintaining the use of information systems

·         receiving, sorting and co-ordinating the distribution of mail

·         ordering specified goods and services

·         arranging and setting up meetings and events

·         attending meetings and taking notes

·         assisting with petty cash

·         photocopying and distributing documents

About You:

You will have experience of taking comprehensive minutes at conferences or multi agency meetings.   

You will demonstrate effective communication skills in order to present information both verbally and in writing.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team and under your own supervision.

You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work.

You must possess accurate literacy skills to ensure correct information is collated and processed and are proficient in the use of information technology systems

Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents is essential, as is a demonstrable ability to handle cash and be able to record and monitor payments in line with financial procedures.

Applicants must have the ability to arrange and, where necessary, attend meetings to take minutes.
