We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a passion for learning and organisational development to work as a Training Partner supporting our Economy and Infrastructure Directorate, which includes a variety of services and roles, such as Highways and Transport, Capital Programmes, Property, Environment and Regulatory services, as well as many more!
You will work collaboratively with senior managers to establish essential training needs for their services and then support delivery of training priorities through an agreed plan. You will provide professional advice to ensure the right solutions are being provided, as we move towards new ways of working and local government reform, where empowerment and flexible working has become a key to success.
You will also proactively and continually look for ways to enable our service to ‘Be Brilliant’!
Who we are looking for
You will be an experienced workforce training / learning and development / organisational development professional who can lead the development and delivery of operational workforce training, with the potential to be involved in wider team organisation development initiatives and strategic projects.
You will work with key stakeholders across a range of services to collaboratively understand their training needs and develop effective workforce training / organisational development solutions.
You will have experience of training needs analysis with an awareness of legislation, formulating training plans, working within budgets, producing quality data, working in partnership with teams/services.
You will offer professional advice on different types of learning interventions, look for opportunities to develop process and solutions, as well as look for innovative ways to bring alternative methods of delivery.
You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to line manage and coach staff and enjoy building strong working relationships both within the team and the services you support.
Our team works across all council services ensuring the Council has a skilled and competent workforce.
