It is an exciting time to join the Highways Service at Rochdale Council. We have an interesting opportunity for a Senior Engineer (Casualty Reduction & TRO’s) to join the Network Management team. We are working with a number of key stakeholders across the Borough to provide Casualty Reduction and Traffic Regulation Order proposals.
You will work on key projects to improve the Highway network across the Borough. You will work through all aspects of the projects; developing concept designs, securing funding, public consultations, ensuring successful delivery of Casualty Reduction schemes and Traffic Regulation Orders through to commissioning the delivery of the proposals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with highly developed interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills, whom in return will receive excellent local government benefits, a supportive senior leadership team, and have the opportunity to really shape our highway network.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a Highway Network Management environment. If you are solutions and results focused, a team player and would like to make your mark in a transforming organisation, then this role could be for you.
If you are interested in what we are offering, and have the skills we are looking for we want to hear from you. If you would like to discuss the post further please contact Nathan McKendrey (Team Leader Highway Network Management) on 01706 924588
