We are looking for a friendly, organised, and hard-working individual to join us as Stores Person, based at our Lillyhall depot. You will work as part of the team providing direct support to several key functions within the Highways service.

About the role

As Highways Stores Person, you will be responsible for the management of the depot stores, you will manage and maintain the stores to the required standards, ensuring that all issues and returns are controlled, while maintaining stock levels, this will also include the general upkeep and security of the depot stores and assets.

You will also support with minor highways construction, carriageway and footway patching, reactive maintenance and drainage works, there may also be the requirement at times, to also carry out grounds’ maintenance within this role.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has experience working in a stores/supplies environment, knowledge of stock management and control, and who can use modern office-based software. You will be methodical, with great attention to detail, and have a good understanding of relevant health and safety legislation.

This role will involve moving stock, so the candidate will have to have the ability to move and lift stock in accordance with our health and safety guidelines.
