The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Client Team Manager with:

· Approval of all Highways Improvement Schemes. Assessing Highway Schemes from a Client Team perspective to ensure that schemes / projects are fit for purpose and in line with the original scope / request and considering future maintainability.

· Ensuring correct, technical support is provided to internal and external partners including: Planning and Building Control, Strategic development, Neighbourhood Teams, GMP, Manchester Parking, Capital Programmes, Property, Ward Representatives, Development Control Ensuring an awareness is maintained of funding opportunities via various government schemes including funding opportunities connected with DfT and TfGM etc.

· Support with commissioning the preparation of bids for new funding. Contributing to strategic meetings to support development of Asset Management and support with the development of Highways Operational Policies

This post is a designated Casual Car User. Therefore you must hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work. You will receive the Casual Car User Allowance. This post is also subject to satisfactory references and other pre-employment checks where applicable. Working style

As a blended worker, you may be able to work from home or remotely some of the time, or for certain tasks or limited days or hours. For the remainder of the time, you will be required to work at council sites or offices. This will depend on your role’s responsibilities and your personal circumstances.
