This is an exciting opportunity to join our Highway Network Management Section as a Road & Street Works Professional Assistant.

As a Road & Street Works Professional Assistant you will be responsible for the coordination of works, events and activities on the highway; as well as providing technical advice on the design and execution of temporary traffic management and highway construction methodologies to ensure safety, minimise disruption to the travelling public and protect the highway asset.

If you have experience of the above and can demonstrate drive, ambition, commercial awareness and a willingness to embrace change and raise professional engineering standards then we would like to hear from you.

Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Working towards NVQ Level 4 in a technical or engineering discipline.

Willing to work towards and achieve relevant technical qualifications in road and
street works including the National Highway Sector Scheme – Temporary Traffic
Management Award and National Highway Sector Scheme 12D M7 – Temporary
Traffic Management for Managers, Designers and Technical Officers.

Willing to work towards and achieve the Institute of Highway Engineers (or equivalent) professional certificate or diploma in Temporary Traffic Management Engineering.

Willing to work towards and achieve NRSWA Supervisor qualifications in temporary traffic management and reinstatement of openings in the highway using flexible, rigid and modular construction.
