Actual Salary: £35,336 to £38,553

Closing Date: 19/07/2022
Stoke-on-Trent has a fantastic heritage and history that presents many opportunities for delivering a cultural strategy that will contribute to the Government’s Levelling Up agenda. The city is in a strong position to demonstrate how levelling up can result in real progress and transform outcomes for local people. There’s never been a more exciting time to join an ambitious organisation that sees culture and heritage as key elements of regenerating the city’s economy and having a positive impact on the health and well-being of our communities.
We are creating a new dedicated team, for a fixed term period of two years, to work alongside national, regional partners and local stakeholders to deliver a wide ranging programme of culture and heritage activity, ranging from coordinating the implementation of the recently refreshed cultural strategy, establishing a heritage preservation trust to support regeneration of the city’s historic buildings, and acting as the glue that joins up a range of council and partnership led activity to ensure we maximise the impact of cultural activity.
There are three separate roles on offer (salaries subject to review):
• Culture & Heritage Programme Coordinator – Level 14 salary range £44,624 to £47,665
• Culture and Heritage Policy Officer – Level 10 salary range £32,798 to £35,336
• Heritage Project Manager – Level 11 salary range £35,336 to £38,553
Key to all three roles will be to develop and strengthen partnerships across a wide range of different types of organisation and generate commitment to shared priorities. The three successful candidates will work flexibly across the programme of work, coordinating support and capacity from other city council services to ensure the delivery is joined up and coherent. The ability to work within a fast moving environment with numerous challenges as the programme becomes established will be crucial.
