We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced policy practitioner to lead the corporate policy team.

About us

Corporate policy is a key area of the organisation and you will be joining a high profile and experienced delivery function, taking the lead in enhancing the corporate offer and high-level outcomes that the team provides.

About the role

Working in the corporate core of the organisation, the role will lead and develop the central policy team to support the delivery of organisational policy and strategy in line with the Council's strategic plan.

About you

Successful candidates will be a motivational and empowering leader who can develop and lead a team of policy officers and support the development of our National Management Trainees. You will have excellent inter-personal skills and a proven track record in fostering relationships with a range of colleagues and line-management experience. You will be experienced in policy and strategy development, ideally in a local government setting, and have significant experience of working with elected members.
