Are you highly organised and do you have a keen eye for detail?

Do you have strong communication skills, both speaking and written?

Are you an experienced administrator looking for a new challenge?

If you answered yes to these, we may have the perfect role for you!

We have an exciting opportunity for three Business Support Assistants to join our well established and diverse Business Support Team on a 12-month fixed term basis.

Our vision

The Business Support service’s vision is a simple one: ‘to implement a robust, flexible and resilient business support service across Children’s Services’.

About the role

These roles will support the Family Safeguarding and Supporting Disabled Children’s Service. This service works with families that are in crisis whose emotions often run high so you will understand the importance of confidentiality. You will need to have high level minute taking skills and attention to detail is crucial.

This is a very busy service and we require a highly motivated individual. The work is fast-paced, and you will be working within tight timescales so will need to possess good organisational skills.

Good computer skills are essential, with particular experience of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook) required.

If you thrive on a challenge, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Whilst primarily supporting this service you will also be a team player in the wider Business Support service, as we require all Business Support Assistants to have flexible approach in supporting other areas and at times may even be required to work elsewhere across the directorate. These roles report into a Principal Business Support officer who manages their own service area within Children’s Services and they will ensure that you get all the support, training and development you need to be able to successfully undertake your role.

Whilst we will support some home working, candidates will be required to work from the office 3/4 days per week as dictated by service needs.
