Are you looking to join an enthusiastic and hard-working team?
Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for your next step?
Cumbria County Council’s Support at Home Service has an exciting opportunity for a friendly, compassionate, and focused individual to join our team as Senior Support Workers. This is a new role in the team structure, and we are excited to offer these posts as a progression opportunity for professional and proven support workers / home care practitioners.
The Support at Home Service provides both domiciliary and reablement services, as part of the wider Provider Services Team. As Senior Support Workers, you will work closely with the domiciliary support provision; a service that operates 24/7 and supports people to remain in their own homes, maintain their dignity and independence, and empowers them to make choices regarding their care.
The ideal candidate will have experience of developing person-centred support plans, can deal with challenging situations, and will be someone who can demonstrate supporting individuals with dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
If this sounds like you, and you have a passion for making a real difference to the lives of our service users, then we would like to hear from you.
The extra post of senior support worker would support the flow of work within our service and enable regular reviews and updates with social workers and Brokers to cover long term sickness.
Please note: Travel across Cumbria will be required, and the role may include some overnight working.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.
