Support new tenants and provide a positive re-homing process

The Housing and Social Investment Department provides the highest possible repairs and customers care standards for resident moving into their new Council homes.
As an Empty Homes Administrator, you will be the first person in this new role and so it comes with the opportunity to bring new ideas. As the team grows, we will be constantly learning from each other and working with a wide range of departments within housing management to council tax to contractors and to energy providers.
A key responsibility of this role will be to develop efficient systems to process council tax and utility bills while minimising departmental costs. As well as this you will maintain databases, collect, record and safely store keys from outgoing tenants, and keep all digital systems up to date.
You’ll provide administrative support to the Empty Homes Team ensuring homes are let on time and all performance information is reported back to the Empty Homes Manager. Your collaborative work will help the communities of RBKC and ensure that all those that require additional support receive it.

You’ll be comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. With the capacity to work with people across all levels, you’ll have great verbal and written communication skills, and be keen to learn. Bringing an enthusiastic approach to every challenge and a keen interest in social housing, social government and a customer-service environment, you’ll enjoy working as a team player.
