This opportunity would place you at the heart of things as a key part of our integrated Leadership Team, contributing your skills and experience to our future success. The new post holder will be a qualified and experienced legal professional with a strong track record of success and whose style of working is commercial, collaborative and innovative. Aligning with our corporate values of ‘Proud, Pioneering and Passionate’ you will have the ability to develop excellent relationships with partners, colleagues and Elected Members and as the Council’s Monitoring Officer take a proactive approach whilst demonstrating resilience and the ability to constructively challenge.  Your background is likely to be in Local Government.

The Assistant Director role has breadth of responsibility beyond legal services incorporating Constitutional and Democratic Services, Member Support, Civics and Elections, and the Coroners and Registrars Service. There are also further plans to broaden this exciting and influential role.
