The Role

An opportunity has arisen in the Leasehold and Procurement Section operating within the Council’s Housing and Regeneration Department for a Leasehold and Procurement Officer. You will be part of a small, friendly, and highly efficient team.

The team administers the contract procurement processes within the Department’s Housing Division and also processes requests for information from solicitors acting for clients who are in the process of buying or selling leasehold properties which they own, where the Council is the freeholder/landlord.

Summary of the post’s duties:

  • processing pre-assignment requests, ensuring response within a tight time frame
  • processing the tendering and letting of all construction consultancy and term contracts
  • ensuring that records relating to major works scheme are maintained
  • updating the Housing IT system with new ownership details, dealing with any anomalies and ensuring that the information held is accurate

You will have excellent time management skills to ensure that multiple deadlines are always met and have the ability to produce quality work with minimum supervision. The ability to utilise IT applications including the use of MS Word and Excel packages is essential, together with excellent communication, written, verbal and numeracy skills.
