The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Intelligence and Sufficiency Service to work within the Early Education Funding team, providing a high quality, efficient and essential service to childcare providers.

The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact to providers of early education for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, providing technical advice and guidance to enable efficient submission and payment of online funding claims.

We are looking for a self-reliant, responsible individual with a keen eye for detail.  The role is varied and involves importing and processing information to determine funding payments hence the ability to analyse and check data to ensure accuracy is vital. The successful candidate must also be a skilled communicator, who is able to work on their own initiative but also effectively and collaboratively across teams often to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent customer service skills
• A creative approach to problem-solving
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A good eye for detail and a logical and confident approach to working with numbers
• And enjoy working with ICT and data sets
