Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1- To carry out cleaning duties as directed by the premises officers. This will include toilets, showers, vacuuming carpets, dusting, polishing, emptying bins, cleaning internal windows and sweeping etc and moving furniture as necessary.
2- Events Operative will need to use mechanical equipment as required and appropriate training will be provided as necessary. This may include vacuum cleaners, floor polishes, washing machines etc.
3- Events operatives will utilised approved cleaning materials as directed by the premise officers in accordance with COSHH regulations.
4- The use of step ladders may be required in accordance with the appropriate risk assessment.
5- Events operatives will be required to work in any area of Beaumanor as necessary.
6- Events operatives will be required to secure rooms as necessary.
7- Any defects found to the building, equipment, furniture etc must be reported to the Premises Team along with any health and safety observations/concerns.
8- Events Operatives will participate in agreed maintenance programmes e.g. spring cleaning in addition to normal duties as directed by the premises staff. This may include washing walls, cleaning light shades, taking down curtains etc.
9- Responsibility for maintaining stock levels and ensureing that all areas are cleaned to a suitable area.
Special Factors:
(a) The nature of the work may involve the post holder carrying out work outside of normal working hours.
(b) The post holder may be required to attend, time to time, training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her own training needs along with the needs of the service.
(c) Expenses will be paid in accordance with the Local Conditions of Service.
