An exciting position has arisen within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to recruit a permanent full time Adult's Social Worker.  Ideally we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and resilient person who has a passion for safeguarding and is registered with Social Work England.  The successful candidate will be responsible for screening contacts, contacting professionals and clients along with working with our partner agencies based within the team such as police, mental health, health and Children's Services.  You will need to be able to identify, analyse and manage risk as part of the role along with ensuring immediate safeguarding concerns are raised with the line manager.  Part of the role may also include completing visits on a duty basis and there may be opportunities to complete assessments.

You will need to have a strong commitment to enabling and empowering service users to live independently in the community and help them think creatively about how they can do that. There will be a focus on managing risk and ensuring service users are protected from significant harm.

You also need strong interpersonal, advocacy and communication skills. Solid IT skills are also needed to be able to input, use and retrieve data and information although full system training will be given.

You will need to be able to work well within a team and independently, have good time management skills and an ability to prioritise.

The salary for this role is £33486 - 37568

The post will be based within our Bedlington office with opportunities of home working.
