The Role

Do you enjoy variety and change? Can you keep your eye on the detail whilst also thinking strategically? If you’re looking for a role that offers lots of potential to get involved in a range of work areas whilst keeping our programmes on track this could be the job for you. This role is critical in supporting us to manage our transformation programmes, including our digital and savings programmes, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues and partners, and presenting our progress to stakeholders in different formats. As one of the council’s key priorities, the digital programme is ambitious and complex and we need someone with sound programme support skills who can help drive it forward and pull the different strands together.

About You

Ideally, you’ll be an experienced change project manager looking for the next step in your career. You’ll have strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and an awareness of the need for confidentiality and sensitivity. You don’t need to be a technical/IT expert for this role, the focus is on programme support, communication about what we’re doing, and some project work. Strong analytical and presentation skills are essential, as are accuracy and a solutions-focused approach.

About Us

The Programme Management Office is a small team which sits within the Transformation Division, alongside our Corporate ICT and Web teams. We collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and beyond to achieve customer focused, efficient and joined up change. You’ll have access to a range of staff benefits, training and development and have opportunities to be involved in finding innovation solutions to complex challenges.
