An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a permanent Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team based in South Cumbria covering Furness and South Lakes. You will be responsible for assessing and developing packages of care to support children and young people aged 0 to 18 years who have severe and complex disabilities, or life limiting conditions that affect their learning and/or physical development and have a major impact on their quality of life. Working very closely with education, health and adults social care colleagues to ensure the children’s holistic needs are met.

We will consider applications from newly qualified social workers who are currently working towards their ASYE for a candidate with experience of working with Children and Disabilities and their Families, also candidates who have their AYSE or qualified pre-September 2012 when ASYE was introduced.
