In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and local businesses at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. Across the borough, our Estates Services teams collaborate with residents of council-owned housing estates to look after shared amenities and outdoor spaces. We also work to combat anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, litter and graffiti. Our aim is for everyone to have a clean, safe, healthy place to live

The Role:

By patrolling our estates in the evening as part of a three-person team, you’ll provide vital reassurance to the community. Engaging with residents and visitors, you’ll discourage antisocial behaviour and remind people of their responsibilities to their neighbours. You’ll also report any serious incidents or other issues relating the safety and upkeep of the estate, and provide vital practical support during emergencies. You may occasionally be asked to act as a professional witness in court. This is a great opportunity to do something meaningful for the local area and its residents.

About You:

If you have a passion to make a difference to the lives of residents, we’ll give you all the training and support you need to make a success of this rewarding role. Capable of staying calm and focused under pressure, you’re likely to have worked in a community or public-facing role such as the ambulance service or police force. You’ll have a responsible attitude, an assertive yet friendly presence, and an eye for detail. You must also be capable of working independently.
