As a Principal Information Analyst you will work closely with energetic senior leaders, a superb team of skilled analysts and our Information Systems team to design, develop and maintain high quality analytical products.

The management information you provide will drive service delivery and continuous improvement within the context of the Children’s and Adults Directorates.

The role involves managing a small team of analysts to provide high quality analysis, intelligence and spatial data to managers and staff throughout the department, schools and other partner agencies to support the planning of services.

Your role will include:

  •  Regular management information reporting
  • Leading ‘deep dive’ enquiries
  • Completing regional and statutory returns
  • Exploring new ways to use and visualise complex data sets
  • Preparing data for external inspections
  • Being an active member of local and regional analytical networks.

About You

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic person with outstanding data analysis and presentation skills, and who is able to work flexibly and on their own initiative.

You will have strong ICT, project management, research and analysis skills, with an attention to detail that will support you to produce a range of accurate analytical products that help to make a difference for Bolton’s children, young people and adults.

Your highly developed interpersonal skills will enable you to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the Children and Adults Directorates.

You will be able to contribute to our learning culture by sharing your experience, knowledge and skills to support the development of the team and enhance the products you oversee the management of.

The successful candidate will have management responsibility for a team of analysts and will require some previous managerial experience.
