We are seeking to appoint suitably skilled and motivated people to work with children and young people in a Wakefield MDC Children’s Home. York Villas in Normanton provides full time care for children with disabilities.

You will hold a Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or be willing to work to achieve this qualification following appointment.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Effective supervision, induction and training are provided to all staff.

The work involves shift patterns, including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays. You should be committed to improving the life chances of the children and young people we look after.

Applications are welcomed from male candidates and those with residential experience or experience of working with disabilities and challenging behaviour. A category D1 on your driving license is desirable.
