An adaptable and technically minded Network ICT Engineer/Designer to work within the Design and Implementation Networks Team in Digital Services at Lancashire County Council.

There is an abundance of interdependent projects to get to grips with, working alongside other professionals to meet our ultimate goals.
What we are looking for…
Challenge – you will be challenged daily with the networks you'll be supporting, so being able to think on your feet in a variety of situations is essential – we want you to take on tasks with a positive and helpful approach, lending a hand to your colleagues should it be needed – you will be dealing with a variety of customers and colleagues, all with different expectations and requirements, therefore being approachable and adaptable will allow you to meet your targets with ease – you'll also be communicating effectively when receiving requests from services and establishing exactly what the customer wants – you'll be going out to our service users with some of Business Analysts you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge, understanding and career
Service Excellence – we strive to provide the best service possible, supplying improvements to networks throughout the council – your role is a key part in allowing all our services to maintain and even enhance the way they work, enabling them to do their jobs efficently – you will also be benefiting the public by preserving and developing services such as Wi-Fi and switchboards for local community centres, libraries and much more – we want you to make an impact on the people of Lancashire with your enthusiasm for quality service delivery – you will need to have a thirst for knowledge too, being keen to learn new technologies and pick up things quickly
Collaborative – we are a nice and friendly team working together in all projects and sharing knowledge with each other to expand our overall expertise as a service – you will be working closely with some of our talented seniors, project managers and architects to really broaden your horizons – you will see your designs for the future brought to life by having the chance to see the full end to end process with our effective work shadowing – we also have excellent training opportunities providing funding for external courses so you get the most out of your personal and professional development – this is a career enhancing opportunity and you can work your way up in the future of digital services with endless possibilities.
