Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Drainage Engineer in our Technical Services Partnership Drainage Team.

Do you want to help reduce the risk of surface water flooding to local communities using innovative solutions, ensure our highway drainage networks are fit for the future and support the development of major infrastructure projects? If so Lincolnshire County Council's Drainage Design Team needs you.

The specialist Drainage Team provides technical expertise in flood investigation and prevention, new and improved drainage systems and highway drainage design.

You will be joining a team of Design Engineers working in the County's Technical Services Partnership (TSP), which combines public sector ethos and private sector know-how to provide professional engineering expertise. You will join a friendly and welcoming environment, where we will support you in your development so that you reach your full potential.

We are embarking on an ambitious programme of flood risk management and major infrastructure schemes and want to grow our already established drainage team.

We need positive and enthusiastic team players, who will meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations. You will be an experienced Engineer who is able to help and develop junior members of the team. In combination with developing others we will assist you in developing your own engineering skills and we expect you to take responsibility for delivery of your own schemes.

You will ideally have experience of:

  • Highway drainage
  • Flood risk engineering
  • S19 Investigation
  • Natural flow management
  • Sustainable drainage
  • 1D and 2D Hydraulic modelling
  • Coordination of S38 Approvals
