About You

You will have a degree or Master's in Social Care and be looking to start a career dealing within Children and Families. You'll bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn and a passion to help others.

The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wider operational area including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, potentially transporting service users and their belongings in an emergency. As such a driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.

For the first 12 months you will be joining a unique team within the Family Support and Protection service working alongside other NQSW's, all completing the ASYE programme. You will also benefit from Solution Focused training and support provided by the DBIT Training Team throughout your ASYE year while enjoying lots of peer support and a real sense of belonging as you start your journey with us.

Following completion of your ASYE you will have the opportunity to continue your career with Essex County Council within one of the many services that form the Children and Families function

We offer a post ASYE starting salary of £32,787 per annum.

You can kick start your career with a range of opportunities offered by our award-winning Essex Social Care Academy. We also offer a university programme to work towards a master's in advanced social work.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. You will be required to work core hours of 9.00am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs and 9.00am-4:30pm Fridays
