We offer the opportunity to be at the heart of Britain’s largest industrial opportunity.

The Teesworks site is a huge regeneration project across 4,500 acres – wholly within Redcar and Cleveland – which will create thousands of jobs in the years to come.

We are a key partner in the transformation to an industrial future based on clean energy and as the responsible director, the benefits of Teesworks will be in your remit.

The Teesside Freeport is in its infancy but, again, the potential benefits are hugely significant.

We also have co-ordinated regeneration plan which is transforming the attractions in our borough for the benefit of residents and visitors. This includes £25m for Redcar through the Towns Fund and £9.35m to revitalise Loftus.

We want someone who can turn the potential of all these developments into a reality and improve the quality of life for everyone in our borough.

Tackling climate change is one of our council’s key priorities and we aim to be carbon-neutral as a borough by 2030. We are making good progress and we want you to match our ambition by ensuring we deliver on this.

Our residents are passionate about where they live and they really care about the look of their neighbourhoods.

You will have a clear vision of how to keep our borough clean and tidy and bring a real pride to our towns and villages, and the region as a whole.

The job comes with big profile, but also with a big reward. You will have the chance to make a real and lasting difference to more than 136,000 people, while enjoying a fantastic standard of living in an area with stunning coast and country.

Let us know if you’re up for the challenge.
