The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

Based within our Bradford Enablement Support Team which provides specialist enablement services to vulnerable people with assessed needs in the Bradford district in partnership with Health and wider social care communities; Supporting the Bradford Enablement Support Team service delivery in accordance with all relevant Council & Departmental guidelines and policies and C.Q.C. National Care Standards. Providing an accurate and knowledgeable, user friendly information system, enquiry and advice service through continuous service development. Support with mobile device set up, problem management, and continual training requirements.

This post will be mainly working office hours, working 5 out of 7 including weekends and Bank holidays, but there may be a need for you to cover early and late shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm where required.
