Within the Performance and Finance team we provide robust performance and monitoring support to Contract Managers across Public Health for Leicestershire County Council. A countywide team, we provide a strategic perspective to some of Public Health’s biggest contracts and works closely with the Procurement team and area-based commissioners to ensure the directorate is achieving, through its commissioned services, the best value-for-money outcomes possible for its residents.

We are looking for a highly motivated and conscientious individual to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your data analysis skills, report building/writing skills, and presentation skills.
 
You will be responsible for producing quality reports which support commissioning in Public Health, with a key focus of this post being to support the delivery of multiple contracts simultaneously.

The role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work with numerous colleagues on a variety of reports, with the ability to develop their skills continuously as well the scope to dig into the data, ask questions and influence as knowledge is built.

You will be a self-starter, comfortable with taking the lead/initiative and presenting projects to our strategic leads, consultants and contract officers, whilst leading a one team member.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES: 

• Data Management, Computing or Analytical qualification or equivalent experience in a work environment
• Advanced use of Microsoft Packages and/or specialist analytical tools
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in collecting and using data to support decision making
• Analysing data to produce reports from which your findings are presented across the department
