Are you naturally caring, kind and passionate about older people? Meadowfield in Fulwood are recruiting a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join their friendly team, where everyone feels valued for the work they do!

We are really proud to be one of Lancashire County Council's 16 residential care homes spread right across Lancashire, who provide care and support to more than 700 wonderful residents. If you are ready for the next challenge in your person-centred caring role, this may be the opportunity for you! You will have an important role within our team where you will be supporting, advising and mentoring our Care Assistants to develop their skills and knowledge, whilst also assisting our managers.  We will however, support and pay for your training, along with a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and uniform and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. 

About our Home:

Meadowfield House is one of 16 care homes managed by Lancashire County Council and offers quality, safe, comfortable care and support for up to 47 people across three homely separate areas.

We offer friendly, compassionate, person centred support to people who choose Meadowfield House as their home. We also welcome older people for short term respite stays and admissions for people who need intermediate care services to support their rehabilitation.

Hours of Work:

This is a part time, permanent position and you will be expected to work a 6 week rota including bank holidays, if this falls on the weekend you are working. 

Example Rota:

Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday

Week 2 – Moday, Tuesday

Week 3 – Sunday, Monday and Saturday

Week 4 – Sunday, Friday, Saturday

Week 5 – Thursday, Friday

Week 6 – Wednesday, Thursday

The working hours are 21:30 – 08:30

Please note that the salary quoted is full time equivalent and if successful the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis. This, however, is an hourly rate of £9.99 rising to £10.39 depending on qualifications. In addition, enhanced rates of pay will be paid for weekend and bank holiday working.
