An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Discharge Team (IDT) to undertake the role of Deputy Team Manager. IDT is a busy team which currently supports Social Workers, Community Assessment Officers and Discharge Coordinators.

You will be responsible for overseeing day to day operational matters and support the Team Manager to ensure the Department meets its statutory and legal requirements. You will have knowledge and experience of undertaking statutory duties under the Care Act 2014. You will be required to support the hospital with maintaining flow and discharges which may include attending escalation meetings. You will provide professional guidance, supervision and leadership to IDT staff.

About You

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for working with adults and older adults. You will have an in depth knowledge and understanding of our customers’ needs and aspirations. You will have experience of working with social work services and commitment to developing quality services, working in partnership with health colleagues and supporting hospital flow. You will have an understanding of relevant Social Work legislation and good practice. Furthermore, the individual concerned needs to have a passion in supporting, facilitating and enabling Integration within the wider ICP framework.

You should have the ability lead, manage, organise, support and maintain the use of information technology systems.
